Rachel Galvin

English Language and Literature

Rachel Galvin is Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature. She is a specialist in twentieth- and twenty-first-century poetry of the Americas, as well as a poet and literary translator. Her first monograph, Poetry and the Press in Wartime (1936–1945), is under review; her next project is titled “Hemispheric Poetics.” She coedited the essay collection Auden at Work (2015), and her translation of Raymond Queneau’s Hitting the Streets won the 2014 Scott Moncrieff Prize.
